David Austin/English type Roses

Everyone's favourite class of roses. These flowers have it all; beauty, perfume, disease resistance as well as vigor and cold-hardiness from old garden roses. They can also bloom a lot and can be used as climbers in the Lower Mainland (zone 7-8). But in the Okanagan (zone 5-6), their canes usually suffer from cold damage if unprotected. However, they do survive and come back reliably every year.
