COLLECTOR'S CORNER or RARE in Canada

These roses are usually older varieties that are still propagated for specific qualities but are not popular. They are all hard to find and for experienced gardeners who need a challenge! All of them are rare in Canada, especially British Columbia. Some varieties listed are so unique that they should be a collectable as an example 'Pearlescent'.  If some varieties are suitable for the Lower Mainland but not for Okanagan, it is clearly stated in the description of the variety. But if you want to experiment or have a warmer microclimate, you can of course try it! Some roses like 'Robusta' in the list is  a fantastic and an unique rose suitable for all climates but just became rare due to poor marketing over time.
